Music’s Biggest Night Honored Legendary Artists 和 Plenty of Newcomers

The 62nd Grammys aired with a somber tone after the tragic news broke earlier on Sunday about the passing of basketball legend Kobe Bryant and eight others who were with him. The Recording Academy paid tribute to Kobe Bryant, Nipsey Hussle, 和 a list of other musicians who passed away in 2019-2020 and will forever be remembered for leaving their mark on music 和 culture.
Some big moments from the night included newcomer Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas winning five Grammys each. According to Billboard, Eilish made Grammy history as the first woman, 和 second artist ever, to win the top four categories in the same year: album of the year (for When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?), record of the year, song of the year (both for 坏人) 和 best new artist.
Here are the three alumni to join our growing list of award-winning grads who are doing what they love in the music industry!
LARS Alumnus, Jaycen Joshua (2003), mixed 罗萨莉娅’s El Mal Querer, which won the Grammy for Best Latin Rock, Urban or Alternative Album.
Jaycen had three other nominated albums this year: Vida (Luis Fonsi); Montaner (Ricardo Montaner); and Fantasia (Sebastian Yatra). He has had 9 past nominations, 1 win, 和 has been associated with dozens more.
Both LARS alumni were engineers on 回家 by Anderson .Paak featuring André 3000 (Best R&B Performance) 和 文图拉 by Anderson .Paak (Best R&B Album).
